Christmas Concert

Our Christmas Concert is on the last day of term, Wednesday 21st December, at 2pm. The pupils will be performing plays and there will also be a number of individual items. Last year’s leavers will be back to be presented with their GCSE certificates, so we are looking forward to catching up with them. We hope that all our families will join us for this festive celebration.

Carol Service

Our annual Christmas Carol Service will be held on Friday 9th December at 7pm. This will be a mixture of traditional and modern carols and readings following the theme Hope is Born. We would love all our families to join us for the service and for mulled wine, hot chocolate and mince pies afterwards.

Christmas Concert Pictures

Many of the pupils took part in the Christmas concert including Nadia who danced beautifully on point to The Fairy of the Crystal Fountain from Tchaikovsky’s Sleeping Beauty.

Abbie King, Abi Jackson and Ana entertained us with The Cup Song by A.P. Carter.

In December the school choir sang carols at The Takeley Farmer’s Market and in the precincts of Stansted Airport. They were accompanied by Lila and Jenny on the violin and viola and Jader on the piano.DSC_0186

Out of the Blue

Junior reporters, Rhianna, Joshua and Millie, report on the Junior play performed at the school this Christmas.

Rhianna writes that a production of ‘Out of the Blue’ was held at The Christian School Takeley on Tuesday 13th December 2011. The play was performed by the Junior class.

The production was based, in part, on the amazing creatures and habitats of the ocean. This was inspired by a lovely project they had been doing on the same subject.

School Log: December 2011

You're never too old to enjoy bubbles!

The end of term was busy with a wealth of festive and creative activities. These included a fantastic carol concert shared with the local community. One of the highlights was the Junior play which was a testimony to the talents and focus of the KS2 pupils. “Out of the Blue” combined the Creation story and the story of Jonah to underline the salvation story that is Jesus. We were thrilled by mime, verse and singing of a very high standard.

The last day of the school saw the school end of term concert run by the pupils. This must have been the best ever, as we were treated to piano music, a variety of songs including rapping and flute playing, ably hosted by Holly and Swazini. And who will forget the humour and strong message of the senior nativity play.
