School Log June 2014

As regular readers will know we are in the midst of planning our 25th anniversary celebrations.  You are all invited to come along and join in the fun during the afternoon and evening of Saturday 27th September.  The Takeley Sports and Social Club will be open for drinks (and comfort breaks!).There will be side stalls, food, live music and fun.  We hope it will be a real community celebration and look forward to seeing you there.

We like to keep ourselves busy,; this term has been no exception. Year 5 and 6 students visited the Houses of Parliaments, Year 10 Geography students went to Walton on the Naze to complete Geography field work, the upper juniors visited the Essex Schools Food and Farming Day at Writtle College, Year 9s took part in a sponsored walk to Hatfield Forest to raise awareness and money for Mercy Ships and Mad Science recently came in to run an assembly for us.

Looking forward, we have Sports Day, our Leavers Assembly, a trip to Boydells Farm, a trip to a Potter’s, and our  residential trip to Oakwood Youth Challenge Centre in Wokingham.

We do have spaces in certain year groups from September 2014. So if you would like to know more about our school, please look at our website our thriving Facebook Community or contact the office on 01279 871182.
